Project Evergreen has extended the deadline for entries in the “Our Winning Green Space” contest. The new entry deadline is Tuesday, November 15.
Held in partnership with Exmark, the Sports Turf Managers Association (STMA) and the Foundation for Safer Athletic Fields for Everyone (SAFE), the contest will give an Exmark mower package worth more than $15,000 and a “Healthy Turf. Healthy Kids.” renovation project to one deserving parks and recreation, or public works department.
To enter, municipalities are asked to submit an up to 250 word essay and photos detailing the need for new equipment and the playing field or green space to be renovated. The proposal should detail how the equipment and project will be used to create a healthier, safer environment for kids to play in.
